Happy New Year to all our Vamooshers!
If you've entered into 2018 without making any New Year's resolutions yet, why not take some inspiration from our Top 5 New Year's Resolutions that will benefit both you and your furry friend...
1) GET FIT TOGETHER
Getting fit with a friend is always the best way to achieve a fitness goal, so why not make that friend your furry friend? From going on more frequent and longer dog walks to starting to run with your dog, making small changes to your routine can really make a difference - to you both.
2) CUDDLE MORE
Life can be so busy but it's important sometimes to slow down and simply take a few minutes to really appreciate a good cuddle with your dog. Even if this just means putting aside 5 minutes each day to sit down with your dog on the sofa, the extra quality time will help to de-stress you both and your dog will love you even more for it (if that is possible!)
3) WASH YOUR DOG'S BED AS OFTEN AS YOU WASH YOUR OWN
Dogs are naturally curious creatures that love to sniff, explore and play with other dogs. This means that when they arrive back home after a walk, they’re often carrying parasites that end up in their bed that can transmit diseases. In the same way that we should wash our own bed sheets often, experts recommend that we should also regularly wash our dog’s bedding. Using something as simple as Vamoosh pet hair dissolver every couple of weeks to wash your dog's bedding to remove the dirt, bacteria and dog hair, will ensure your dog enjoys that clean sheet feeling as often as you do!
4) MEASURE YOUR DOG'S FOOD
Most dog owners would probably admit to 'guestimating' their dog's daily intake of food, however, for the health of your pet, it's really important to following the feeding guidelines on the bag to work out exactly how much your dog really needs to avoid weight gain.
5) SET UP REGULAR PLAY DATES
We all love meeting up with our friends don't we? Why not arrange regular play dates with other dog loving friends - perhaps going for a walk in a nearby park or by the beach. Interaction with other dogs is great for their health and social skills - and no doubt you'll enjoy catching up with your friend too!
